Tropical Depression Nineteen has formed in the Caribbean Sea and is forecast to continue strengthening, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The National Hurricane Center is also asking residents of the eastern Gulf Coast, including Florida, to monitor the storm closely since it has the potential to reach the US.

Tropical Storm Sara formed in the Caribbean Sea Thursday afternoon, posing a threat to Central America, where forecasters expect the system to unleash heavy rainfall and flash flooding, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
