Kathy Hochul has revived a controversial congestion pricing plan for drivers entering Manhattan at 60th Street and below by knocking $6 off the $15 toll she rejected in June. The new $9 toll would need to be approved by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board at a meeting next week.

Despite the governor’s assertion that the new $9 toll will save New York drivers money, she failed to convert most opponents.
