Mukesh Khanna has made it clear on multiple occasions that he does not see Ranveer Singh as the new Shaktimaan. In light of Ranveer's controversial nude photoshoot for a magazine in 2022, Mukesh argued that such an image is incompatible with the superhero’s persona.

Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, who is all set to revive his iconic Shaktimaan series with a new face, has now rejected actor Tiger Shroff to play the superhero after turning down Ranveer Singh for the same.

Khanna further explained why he dismissed Shroff. "He is still a child among children, that's his image. He doesn't have the stature that one needs to play Shaktimaan." He said the gravity of Shaktimaan comes from the character itself and not him as an actor.

Khanna wrote that without him there was no Shaktimaan and a new Shaktimaan can come when he isn't around. He also wrote that he didn’t mean to disrespect Ranveer Singh by calling the press conference. Ranveer was reportedly in the running to play the superhero in the movie adaptation.

Immediately after declaring that he sees Ranveer Singh to be unfit for the role of Shaktimaan, he spoke disparagingly about Tiger Shroff's appearance as well.

Speaking with ABP Live about Tiger Shroff, Mukesh said, “Forgive me, but if Tiger Shroff tells a child to flush the toilet as Shaktimaan, the kid will turn around and say to him, ‘Tu baith jaa (Sit down)’.

Mukesh Khanna had earlier said that Ranveer Singh won't be able to play Shaktimaan in a future project as he doesn't have the face for it.
