Manager Kevin Cash told reporters Tuesday that while Jeffrey Springs and Pete Fairbanks are recovering from their injuries as planned, they won't be pitching for the Tampa Bay Rays again this season.

The team says there is no reason to rush either’s return, as both will be healthy for next season. Richie Palacios could be back next week.
