Toy giant Mattel says it “deeply” regrets an error on the packaging of its “Wicked” movie-themed dolls, which mistakenly links toy buyers to a pornographic website.

Mattel may be safe from the Wicked Witch of the West, but it has had to issue a mea culpa to avoid the wrath of angry parents. The toy company said the web address for a pornography company was mistakenly printed on the packaging for dolls tied to the new film “Wicked” instead of the official website for the upcoming Universal Pictures release.

Toy maker Mattel is apologizing after sending out a run of Wicked branded toys with a link to a porn website on the box. When Mattel learned about the problem, it pulled the dolls from retail shelves and issued an apology.

Due to an unfortunate typo, Mattel's line of Wicked-themed dolls — in the likeness of stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande — is NSFW.

The toy packaging was supposed to link customers to the “Wicked” movie website — wickedmovie.com — but instead links people to wicked.com (warning: explicit material), an 18-and-older website home to Wicked Pictures, a purveyor of parody porn films.

"We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this," toy company said in a statement
